Life skills
Goal setting, time management, communication, and teamwork practiced daily.
Cohort 1 · Ages 9–13
A hands-on product-creation track: scholars identified a problem, built and prototyped a product, and pitched it to real judges — layered with the DOES-sponsored CRESP curriculum.
How the six weeks were built
Weeks 1–2
Scholars observed their own neighborhoods and classrooms to name a problem worth solving.
Weeks 3–4
Teams sketched, built, and rebuilt physical and digital prototypes, testing each version with peers.
Week 5
Scholars practiced telling the story of their product — the problem, the solution, and why it matters.
Week 6
Every scholar presented an original product to a panel of judges at the Final Showcase.
CRESP Curriculum
Cohort 1 carried the DOES-sponsored CRESP curriculum alongside the product work.
Goal setting, time management, communication, and teamwork practiced daily.
Safe, thoughtful, and creative use of technology and online tools.
